We love everything drywall, but we especially enjoy making a bathroom beautiful again and giving it that special spa like feeling. We here at Colorado Springs Drywall Repair are ready to help you achieve the look and feel you are going for in your bathroom, if you have any questions about layout we would absolutely love to be a part of the decision making process. Once you have decided on what goes where and you have the framework in place and the electrical and plumbing wired in then it would be time to hang the drywall and we will get the job done efficiently and with the quality care like it was our own home.
Whether you need a small hole patched up or damage control from a leak or a total bathroom remodel we can get the job done for you! There is something very important that you should be aware of when it comes to hanging drywall in a bathroom and that is the type of gypsum board that you choose. Bathroom drywall, also known as greenboard, is designed to withstand moisture which in turn will keep it from harboring mold which will break down the drywall after time, ruining it. Greenboard is made up of a synthetic fiberglass mat instead of organic paper used in regular gypsum board, also the tape used with greenboard is inorganic.
We will start the job off right by choosing the right gypsum board for the job, which will be the greenboard that is specially made for bathroom drywall application. We will then be sure that the correct measurements are taken and the holes are cut appropriately for the existing outlets to include light fixtures, power outlets, light switches, or other projections from the wall or ceiling. All the drywall seams will have mud applied and then taped following a second application of mud to create a seamless finished product that is ready for the texture application. Repairing a damaged area of drywall is pretty much the same process, the only difference being the start which will consist of cutting out the damaged drywall and then filling it in with a piece that has been cut to fill the space perfectly. Applying a perfect match of texture will leave the patchwork looking invisible, like the damage never happened in the first place!
We believe in doing the job right the first time and that it why we have such a strict policy when it comes to the process we take in hiring and retaining an excellent staff that are have many years of experience. We also believe in keeping up to date with all the latest processes and continuing our education and skills by attending classes that teach new applications. We believe that having the best staff and having that staff so well trained is what sets us apart from the other companies out there, no offense, but we pride ourselves in excellence and it shows in our professional staff and with every single job that we do!
